Tue, 20 November 2007 This is our last lecture for Luke Part I, as Jesus concludes his Galilean ministry and begins to turn his face toward Jerusalem. Our study of Luke will resume in January with Luke Part II. This will take place over 9 weeks. I hope you'll join us then. Comments[0] |
Mon, 12 November 2007 Here is the audio for week 9 of our series. In 9:7 we begin the transition from the Galilean ministry to the road to Jerusalem. Comments[0] |
Mon, 29 October 2007 In Luke 7, we see growing questions surrounding Jesus' identity and how that meets or does not meet with expectations of the Messiah. Comments[0] |
Sun, 21 October 2007 In Luke 6, we read about two Sabbath controversy stories and the naming of the Twelve. We also find the Sermon on the Plain, Luke's version of the Sermon on the Mount, including the Blessings & the Woes, and the calls to love one's enemies and not to judge. Just as a note, the Tuesday morning session is a week behind the weeknight small groups. This is why the podcasts are coming out later in the week. If this is becoming a problem for anyone, please let me know. Comments[0] |

Wed, 26 September 2007 Here is the second half of the lecture that covers the material for week 2. This recording is not from the live teaching session. As you have probably found out by now, the live recording, done in stereo, is a very large file and takes too long to download for most folks. So, we will be using recordings of my lecture notes from here on out. Comments[0] |
Sat, 22 September 2007 Week 2 is an edited, live recording of the teaching session held on September 18th. We only completed through Mary's Magnificat. You cannot always hear participants in this type of recording so I have edited out those portions. For that reason it may appear choppy at times. Let me know which type of recording you prefer - the live, edited version, or teaching notes recorded directly. Thanks again for your patience. Comments[3] |
Thu, 13 September 2007 Welcome to the first week of our study of the Gospel of Luke. We had some technical difficulties and were not able to capture the live teaching session on September 11, 2007. This podcast is a summary of the lecture for that session. Comments[0] |
