In Luke 7, we see growing questions surrounding Jesus' identity and how that meets or does not meet with expectations of the Messiah.

In Luke 6, we read about two Sabbath controversy stories and the naming of the Twelve.  We also find the Sermon on the Plain, Luke's version of the Sermon on the Mount, including the Blessings & the Woes, and the calls to love one's enemies and not to judge.

Welcome to week 5 of the Luke study.  We are exploring chapter 5 of the third Gospel this week, noting typical accounts of Jesus' ministry as well as controversy stories.

This week's session encounters Jesus' temptation in the wilderness by Satan and the beginning of his preaching ministry in Galilee.

In Week 3 we look at two infancy/childhood narratives of Jesus as well as the ministry of John the Baptist and the baptism and genealogy of Jesus.
